Comprehensive Islamic Education For The Whole Community In Chelmsford
Makarim Academy is the new name for Islamic education under Chelmsford Muslim Society.
The name was adopted as part of a comprehensive review and a new development plan, under the leadership of Shaykh Shams Adduha, to improve the curriculum, the resources and the delivery of education at CMS for the whole community.
Makarim Academy is currently running a Madrasah for 5-14 year olds, two programmes for 14-18 year olds, and will soon run Islamic courses for adults too.

For 5-14 years old
Madrasah
▪️Enrolment date/s: Applications are accepted all year
▪️Fees: £600 per annum (payable in 2 instalments, sibling discount available)
▪️ When:
Option 1: Saturday (9.45am - 1.30pm) and Tuesday (5.15pm - 7.45pm)
Option 2: Sunday only (9.45am - 2.45pm)

For 14-18 years old
Admission is now open for our 14-18 programmes. Both programmes are for boys and girls and there are two options.
The Learned Youth Programme
4-6 hours a week, two sessions a week, a broad curriculum including Tajweed and Arabic Language. This should be the first choice for all parents and youth as it provides everything young people need to live Islam fully.

▪️Fees: £600 per annum (payable in 3 instalments, £100 sibling discount)

The Youth Mentoring Programme
A lighter programme for young people who cannot commit more time. It is 2 hours a week, with a limited curriculum, but designed to provide mentoring and guidance so young people are not left floundering in confusion without guidance during the vulnerable years of transition from adolescence to adulthood. Please note, there is no Qur'an or Tajweed studies in this programme.

▪️Fees: £400 per annum (payable in 3 instalments, £50 sibling discounts)
